After a year absence, Suriname redtail boas (Boa c. constrictor) have been born in our collection once again.
Our wild-caught Suriname female was bred to a WC male- that she had not been bred to before - and a german-bred F1 male during the winter.
On the 111. day of her gravidity (POS) she gave birth to 10 healthy babies and 3 slugs (unfertilized ova). She had not refused to feed during her gravidity, therefore she lost significantly less weigth than three years ago, when she gave birth last time.
Neonates are seemingly well-developed and healthy. They are going to shed in 7-10 days.
